This is going to be a movie…literally
2 Chainz was initially pretty quiet following the release of his well-received sophomore album, Based On A T.R.U. Story II: Me Time, but in 2014, he’s gotten on quite a roll. After debuting the video for “A-Rod”, with assistance from French Montana, Chainz went on to release Freebase, a 5-track EP featuring Lil’ Boosie, A$AP Rocky, Rick Ross and more, but its a song that Tity Boi did all by his lonesome that stood out the most. The album’s third track, the H.O.N.O.R.A.B.L.E. C-Note-produced title track to the project, “Freebase”, features a punishing bassline, a distorted chorus lead-in, and a chilling performance from one of Atlanta’s brightest stars.
To visualize the overlooked record, in conjunction with Dos Cadenas, 2 Chainz will be creating his version of Michael Jackson’s classic “Thriller” video for the “music movie” adaptation of “Freebase”. Look for the full video to be out this Friday.
